I purchased these for my 50 lb boxer puppy so she would not damage my wooden doors. She scratches at the door and my hope was that these would help prevent further damage. XX large states that they are for dogs 40-70 lbs but I found that they were HUGE and much too big for my dogs nails. The glue is super glue and it's hard to apply without getting her hair stuck in with the nails. Because of this I think they were uncomfortable for her. A few fell off within a week and a few she managed to chew off. When I saw all the hair that was attached to the nail I knew I couldn't put anymore on her. I think if you're very careful and you get the right size they may work. Not worth the money if they only last a week. She suggested these soft paws. I had heard of them for cats, but didn't even know that they made them for dogs. They were very inexpensive so we decided to give them a try. The come in a set to cover all of the nails, and are supposed to last about a month. Our dog runs on roads or sidewalks for miles every day with my husband, so the other nails stay trim and dull so the 'paws' were only needed on the dews. So now we have over a year's worth of paws for less that $20. They were easy to apply and my dog does not mind them at all. Best of all they work great. I am so glad we boght them and wold recommend them to anyone! |
